Woke up knowing it was the shortest day of the year.. so I decided I needed to make the best of it.. 

I headed down town early to finish my holiday shopping. I stopped in to see my  friends Marty and Doug  at fire and metal. Doug was out.. but got to talk to Marty for a good long while. This will be the last Christmas they do after 47 years in the business… I’ve been coming here for more than 35 years… it’s strange to walk out of there.. but I know that they are happy. 

 

 

I picked up Max around 1:30.. we all met up at hoem around 2:30 and prepped for tonights solstice burn. Here are the guys ready to go help chris out on the burn.

it was freezing out there !.. So we decided to go warm up and try out the new restaurant Aquave  which is where Mexicali used to be. I loved Mexicali and the people who ran it .. , so I really wanted to see what the new place was like. It was really good !> Our freind Luke was working there which made it double fun !!!!!  

 

 

OK.. shortest day of the year is almost over !.. Time for bed !
