Such a beautiful day in here in København .. a city I cant’ even type on this keyboard. I just did what I’ve been putting of since I came here. I listened to Lucinda Williams’ beautifully sad song Copenhagen. SHe was here when she heard about a close friends death . This song and this video always make me cry.. . which is somehow just what I needed right now.

I had a great … kinda lonely day. I woke up in a curtain-darkened room with no idea of what tiem it was.. turns out it was 10:30. I’d slept 10 hours… i felt renewed

I took my time getting ready.. i just made the free breakfast.. then went out on  a 6 mile run through the city.

it was so beutiful.. happy people everyhwhere soaking up sun..

I  got home around 1:30 and worked until about 7:30 on a talk I have on monday..

thats 6 hours when I should have been able to hang out and explore this city

 

i even tried working outside..

but it still felt like work.

 

i’m so tired of working on nights and weekends..

so, so so tired of doing that…

 

 

I got up jsu tin time to catch the last free beer before they closed at 7:30. I ran in to folks from the conference yesterday in teh bar !

Around 8 I headed out to meet my freind Steve’s son Davivid .. who goes to school here.. It was nivce walkign through the city win this afternoonish light

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

somehow .. this is the only picture I managed to take of David. H’s 20 years old and studying Socialogy and Buusiness here. We had a relaly great time hanging out.. talked about so many things. He’s got a fine mind.. jsut like his dad.. We ate at the paper warehouse. same place I ate last night. We both had korean.. so good !

then I came back and worked for 3 more hours.

ahhh.. friday night..  and Conco del Mayo..  shabbat shalom everyone. alone in a hotel in the beautiful and stately city of Copenhagen.. not only is it stately..but the lonely planet website just told me that it’s consistently rated one of the happiest cities in the world. What a great thing to be known for.

I’m here for a talk I did  for a wonderful group of folks who are in the business of disgining, making and selling hearing aids. they were all such wonderful nerds !

 

Leslie here overheard our nerd talk and came over.. and pretty soon she and her friend Meryl had fit me with two very cool new hearing aids .. just for fun. They were so cool to wear. I don’t think i need hearing aids.. but they have a feature to control tinnitus… .(ringing in the ears) which I’ ve had forever). it was so cool wearing them around all day.. i felt like I had super powers !. I actually have them in now. and my head is silent.. for once !

my talk went well.. .. I also had a great inerview with a danish podcaster.. he was such a great interviewer . really interested to hear the final results.

 

Andrew dropped me off at the marriot downtown   around 7./. // eres the view from there. 

im just across from tivoli gardens (and I really need to take my phoen apart and clean the lens !)

 

i greabbed a beer  and headed out for a walk

 

I made it out to the opera hose where th folsk from the conference I spoke at were eating.. 

 

I snuck in to say hi to everyone..

i grabbed some  food at a Moroccan place. 

 

then I started to walk home. It was nearly 10.. and still lightish

 

i came back intending to work on my remaining two talk for next week.. but I just couldn’t make myself work

 

i’m getting lazy i guess.

March 4th.. It’s the 3rd anniversary of my dad’s passing. hard to believe it’s been that long.

 

he was/is such a solid, funny and good.. i mean really good guy .

Super late.. not sure I can do justice to my wonderful plastic adventure today despite a full day of phone meetings, I did manage to spend 40 minutes in legoland today.. as well as explore this great hotel.. here for a little R&R
