Long work day again.. 15 hours so far..   It has me feelign liek this old pair of shoes I finally had to throw out

 

it’s wearing my soul down a bit too 🙂 

 

I Took a break late afternoon to go to the 10th year anniversary celibration for the Champlian College Emerging Media Center. Its the creation of my good freind Ann D. .. She’d just started the center when I was an adjunct proif there for a few months in 2007.. shortly after Sam died. I really enjoyed my tiem at Champlain.. the EMC is an amazingly creatiev place.. under Anne’s leadership its become an internationally recognized center for ‘Good Games’ .. video games that serve a purpose to teach, heal, etc..

 

i love these two pictures of ann and me.. neither neither of us can stay still at the same time to get our piucturews taken,. we’re very much alike in that 🙂

 

lots of cool EMC tech on display ..

 

I even got to try some out !

 

i ran into many old freinds from Champlain, IBM and around town 

 

 

 

a toast  to the  EMC !  what a greatest program !

 

the evenign concluded with a great panel moderated by my good freind John A.. the panel also had my freidns Nadine, Paul and Mayor Weinberg.

 

the main topic was the role of media in truth.. very topical !

 

sleep sounds very topical to me now.. more tomorrow

Woke up well rested for the first time in weeks today.. .

whats that mean ?

 

celiebrated the day by eating my last ressese peanut butter egg.. yum !

 

 

 

worked hard all day.. but spent every minute I could (on the phone) out doors.. it was so beutiful.. cool and sunny

 

 

met old friend Craig for a quick lunch . Craig is one of the founders of Fathers-forever. FF is a group of dads who have had a child who has died. Craigs daughter Amelia died in 2003 . It was very good catching up with him

 

we ate at mexicali’s.. i was able to show him a samstone  thats been there for at least 8 years.

 

i did spend an hour and a half at the Dentist today.> I have one crown,.. and it has to be replaced. It’s special to me.. because I have all three boys initials tattooed on it..

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Feely deftly cut aay the old crown.. and rodered a new one.. I have a temp in there now that feels as good as new. THe science of these things is amazing !

 

 

 

the rest of the day was jam packed. I’m workign too much again.. *sigh(

 

thank goodness for yoga and soup night !

I tell myself that I’m now immune to jet-lag…

bute i’m lying…

the 3rd day back it always hits.. me.. today around 3 Pm I could not keep my eyes open.. so I devcided to lie down and meditate…

i climbed into bed, covered my eyes, put on my medititation music.. and…
the moment I relaxed and started ot medititate… the alrm clock next to my bed.. that has never, ever been used as an alarm clock..
that has never been set to wake me up
that i don’t even know how to set or turn off..

went off..

so much for trying to sleep on the job.. 🙂
