SO nice to wake up at home.. my first official act of the day was to sit down in front of the fire and scratch  my dogs ears.. while doing that.. I noticed this cool heart shaped thing in the fire.. ..  heart burn !

 

worked a good day.. then diane dragged me out to camels hump for a great ski in the deep snow.. it was packed so a bit fast.. but really nice.. we were just abotu the only ones tehre.. .. it was warm (near freezing).. so it was great spring skiing.

the weird weather also creates other forms of beuty.. liek our sunset this evening. 

so nice to live here. 

 

ahh.. got this from Max yesterday. He built this drumming robot for his freind Mat. I helped wih tthe code and mechatronics. .. I love working with him

Sitting in ohare on my way home from IBM THINK.. .. it was a really good conference.. lots of cool new stuff.. good energy.. and so many friends to reconnect with. One of the things I really love about this company is the huge range of people, places, skills and personalities in our … is it 400,000 people  plus our clients and partners . ? .. this conference had something like 25,000 of them. I spent every waking hour out there catching up  both technically  and personally with my tribe.   

     I ended up takig it very easy out there .. mostly because of starting out with a stomach bug.. but kept the trend going for the whole week.. 7-8 hours of sleep a night, not much to drink .. ate lightly.. got a good  run in.. . as a result I enjoyed vegas much more than usual..

maybe there’s something to this clean living.

super busy and fun day at THINK >. My day started at 4:40 AM. I got up.. and was so happy to feel healthy again after that stomach bug.

I got my gear on and trotted over to the mgm. 

 

there I met my other crazy friends for the 10th annual (my 3rd) red rocks run at think ..

 

at 5:30 we all got on the bus for a 30 min or so ride out of town to red Rocks oark.. 

It was still darkesh when we got there.. 

 

 

here’s the view back over las vegas.. looks so quiet and lean from here !

 

around 6 we took off down the trail. it was just SO BEUTIFUL !

 

I found a good place for a samstone !

 

this one always looks like a turtle to me. 

 

we’re now about hlfway. good time for selfies and a group pick 

 

then the 3.5 miles back. about 6.4 miles all together.. 

 

then back on the bus.. and back to the hotel around 9:30 

 

I ran back to the hotel. showered. and jumped in to think. I ran into so many old friends.. adn som new ones

 

liek this guy Bill. he used to be my sister Mary’s room mate in Boston about 20 years ago !!!!

a high point of the day was running into my 14 year old very bright friend Tnamay and his parents !

 

also got meet with my freind ROb !

 

so good seeign them both 

 

 

I had meetigns until 7. ten a really nice japonese dinenr wiht my freinds Susan and Markus.. really delicious sushi !

 

Markus had brought some  bling !

In bed by 10 pm on a quiert night in vegas.. I feel like a bit of a party pooper. but I’m still; not feeling 100% well. 

THink  has been really good so far. I’m seeing SO many old friends.. and learning some very good new stuff.
