Greetings from Rashik… I had a very good day here in Iceland. I gave four talks which all went pretty well. Interestingly the biggest with 500 people in the audience the audiovisual system failed and I had to go ahead without charts from halfway on… It was my talk on play and I was just on the part of pushing through failure so it could not have been better timed.
I managed to keep going without skipping a beat and I think the audience appreciated that I ended on a new Icelandic turn that I’ve learned to love which is
“þetta reddast” (Note that first thing is not an IR it’s in Icelandic letter that’s sounds more like “TH”)
Greetings from Reykjavik Iceland . I’m here to see some clients then heading to Spain to give a talk. Iceland is interesting.. kinda bleak in a nice way
One weird thing was waking up to a new government landscape . Same thing happened to me in November 2016 . I took off from California and woke up to trump as president
This time the news was better.. but not that great . The next few weeks will show us what it will be like
I’m on my way to Iceland right now for work. This is after the longest time in the United States I’ve spent in more than three years. I’ve been in this country since the beginning of August… It’s more than three months. It feels kind a good both to have been here that long and to be visiting somewhere else after so long
The better g news for today is of course the election s . I really hoping the country starts to change course . I’ll be flying all night so I won’t know what happened until i land . Thanks s what happened to me in November 2016. I landed to a completely different world than unexpected . Not sure what to explain expect tonight
I got to vote with Diane today. We never get to vote together.. so that was fun ! We thought it would be quick but the polling station at the middle school was full of our friends .. nice !
