Last night we got to camp in layman lake and our power steering cut out . We called in to get a service or tow … and they said they’d be there at 9:30this morning .
We woke about 5:30 this morning and took a great hike out to a small 700 year old Pueblo ruin
At 9:40 the roadside service folks called to say they could find a tow truck until late this afternoon. The fine folks at boho who rented us the camper stepped in and found someone to fixed the van. We had to drive to 10 miles to get there .. but our steering came back on the drive . The repair guy flushed and filled the steering fluid and we were all set to go.
First stop was el motto .. an amazing sandstone bluff . With a small water oasis , a ton of old graffiti (some from the 1600’s !). And a wonderful 700 year old Pueblo
Then we stopped at an amazing volcano caldera and a perpetual ice cave
Now at max and Becky’s..
Ready for sleep
More tomorrow
Nite all, nite Sam
