Wednesday night – No easy mile

Diane and I just came back from a screening of a new movie called “no easy mile”. It’s about our good friend Phil who last year ran the entire 273 miles of the long trail to raise money and awareness for opioid addiction. He did that after he had seven friends who had died from the illness.… The screening was an arts riot and it was completely sold out. We got to talk to many friends there then got to see the really Amazing movie

The three person movie crew followed Phil on his 10 day run From the Canadian border to the Massachusetts border… (Minus a 6 week recovery from a torn quad). Phil took sponsorships and is trying to raise about $50,000 to support addiction recovery and sober houses in the state. He’s about halfway to his goal.

The Photography was really wonderful and you got to see Phil go literally through the ups and downs Of this grueling endurance run. That’s more than one Marathon every day.

After the movie there was a wonderful panel where Phil, the movie makers, and some local addiction supporters including the guy who ran sober houses in another recovery services guy as well as a woman who also hiked the trail to raise money.

The Lt Gov was on the panel too

Questions from the audience we’re good Lots of solidarity

It was a really inspiring night.

If you want to support show in his “enough is enough” mission to help recovering opioid attics here in the state please go here
