Monday night – allourhearts.com

Super long and busy day… Begin with breakfast with John and a task force believe then a drive to Boston, more meetings and some late night slide making.

One cool thing that happened today is that I took the task force call at the generator. My friend Heike was there helping me make some stamps for my new friend Lena’s “all our hearts” project. All our hearts is a memorial project for people who died of opioid dependence disease here in Vermont and beyond. This Saturday at nine Lena is going to get a group of the families together and make stones that are somewhat inspired by Sam stones. She’ll imprint the website on the back of each heart shaped clay rock… Then the family member will write their loved ones name or initials on the front. The van be fired and handed out to about 300 people.

My friend pike was there this morning making the stamps for the website On one of our laser cutters. We made them in a variety of fonts and sizes. I hope the work well

Sunday night – e-roaded

Busy and peaceful day at home. Get lots of winterizing chores done… Also got some prep done for a busy week ahead. And included a stop at generator and visits with a couple of collaborators.

What are the most fun things today was the longest run with Diane to see some of the damage from last weeks flooding. Dugway Road is completely closed because of a washout near Huntington Gorge.

We noticed how high up the brush showed water flow. The water must’ve been 20 feet higher than usual in the gorge !

Every time we go to the gorge we remember what a dangerous and scary place it can be. More than 30 people died here since we’ve lived in the area

This place can be so beautiful and yet so unpredictable

Good metaphor for life

Saturday night – debasement

Had quite an adventure today as Dian, our friend Hunter and I prepped The basement for an insulation project we’re doing. We spent about three hours crawling every corner of the dirt basement under this house. Some of that time choosing whether you’re on your back or your belly because it was too tight to turn over. We carded away 10 bags of old insulation and other random junk that had been under there for who knows how long…

There are still jealous of more than 100-year-old circus posters for use between the floor and the floor joists… Only a few fragments remain but it’s cool to see

I found a perfect place for a Sam stone in a modest compartment in a beam in the front part of the house. It was so tight in there that I had to pull myself along the floor and squeeze under several huge beams.

Our clothes were so filthy that we had to take them outside and dust them off… And then put them through the washer twice

Around 9 o’clock tonight we talked ourselves into going to the Sandbar and for a Halloween party. We quickly made up costumes.. And we picked up our friend Loren to take her. Our friends John, Duane and Jana B were there. It was great EDM music. I wore my lab coat that spread with glow-in-the-dark paint. People could draw on me with Uv lasers

I love John bs Costume… He was the best Groucho

OK… Time for bed.

More tomorrow
