Today was supposed to be a vacation day… But I managed to work the whole thing. I’ve got an unexpected deadline by the end of the year and that kept me pretty busy. Around three I picked up Diane and we went and met Deb and her family at the new Talent location in the old Burton building. They’re getting ready to open and it was so cool to see.

Talent is a nonprofit now which is a cool model. It’s so great to see them re-opening… Hannah and Dave have been so important to so many kids in vermont. Our kids love going there… And they were so kind to us after Sam died. It really feels like family

One cool thing is that Hannah and david’s friend Cook he was in town and testing out the skate park. I met Cookie when he used to hang out at Talent… But many years later we ran into each other on a plane somewhere headed to Europe. It was so great catching up with him again. He’s living in LA and designing some skateboard gear. I saw some of it it’s really nice

OK… I’m heading to bed. I only got four hours asleep last night and need to catch up

It’s about 2 AM so I should make this short. Had a nice quiet day.

The day was a lucky party to celebrate first day of Hanukkah. Dianne really outdid yourself and making latkes. We expected about 15 people and I think we had 40… The house still smells like latkes which is wonderful

Hunter brought his brothers and sister over which is really fun they were our first guests

We also celebrated Avery’s defense… She just finished her masters

Happy solstice everyone… This is the longest night of the year… We made it a pretty slow one. Dan and I were pretty content just hanging around the house. We did make it out to our friend Kathy and Ann Elise’s Christmas party… But other than that we just lazed around. It was really nice. We had one nice visit from my friend Kim and her husband Ethan from Mit. They brought their dog biscuit… What a great name.

I think I’m going to jump in the bed and really Enjoy a long nights sleep…

I’m now home … This was my last week at work at Mit for the year. It’s been a pretty good year… Challenging but fun. Can’t ask for more than that

Started the day with a really nice breakfast with my friends the pans. Their son Jeffery is a very accomplished high school student who am I may work with Ansermet I projects.

The drive home was beautiful and sunny… Spent most of it on conference calls. I got home just as Diane and our young fin fin we’re showing up. We had a small Christmas celebration with Finn… We got them a karaoke machine because he is a fantastic singer… (Really!)

We had so much fun with it…

We took Finn home to his dads and now we’re settling in for a long winters nap…

Tell me it’s OK to go to sleep at 8:40 in the evening 🙂
