Bit of a crazy day… made from Lots of small pieces.
Started with pancakes with bill, Amanda and james
Working to help our friend James with his move
Then over to Mike and Sue’s to work on reviving the email… The 30 foot keyboard that Mike used to tour with. Greg and I got the thing working without too much trouble… We’ve got some more code to write but I think it’s going to be fun to have around
That a nice hike with the dogs around Libby’s look out
I’ve got a pretty terrible cold… So I’m going to go try to sleep it off
Spent the day around the house doing small jobs… It was perfect. One of the jobs was to replace the pole switch on the ceiling light in the mudroom. It turned out to be an ancient switch from the days of it being a school house
This which looked pretty old. It had a patent number on I looked it up and it was from 1925
Later in the day we took the duck Brook Trail back from the notch Road over to stage road
It’s no longer the path of the long trail… So it was empty… 4.5 miles without seeing another soul
We felt kind of guilty for not taking the dogs but it’s way too much per child these days… So we went home and took them on a hike at catamount
Now feeling sleepy and ready to go to bed… More Tomorrow
Just got home after 12 days on the road . It’s SOOOO nice to be home . We met friends Sue and Jim for dinner then came back to two tail wagging dogs . Satori, greeted me at the door with her favorite stuffed hedge hog “hedgie” for a game of who-has-hedgie (chase, catch tug-of-war)
Long busy day… One thing I noticed is that the road was particularly full of cool stuff. I picked up screws and nails and street cleaner bristles… Most of all I picked up Thai wraps… Lots of them. Some still able to be used in all different sizes and colors
