I woke up to find myself all well again. Whatever stomach bug hit hit me Last night had moved on. I woke up refreshed at about 9 AM. We had it over to her friends Cathy and Lou for a brunch with friends. Brunch is such a grown-up thing. I felt like an adult sitting there with folded cloth napkins and tulips all around. I was grateful to be around such good friends. It was great catching up
OK… I need to be on the road very early tomorrow morning so I’ll sign off here.
Really nice to be home. We spent some time settling in this morning and then I opened my birthday present to myself. A new very small tesla coil built for me by my cool friend Eugene in the Ukraine. It is truly a thing of beauty. I decided to buy one rather than build one after several failed attempts at making something small enough to take with me on travel that would also be robust. This is everything I had ever hope for. Travel worthy, powerful, and wirelessly controlled.
I just realized I didn’t take any movies of it playing music. But here’s a little test run of simple pulses
Tomorrow I promise I’ll put some music on it. It is truly amazing to hear. So clear!
Around to Diane and I took the dogs up to see Livys lookout. The snow was pretty deep and there were places where we wish we have had snow shoes. But any place we need it snow shoes would be hard for the dogs. We all got to the top and it was well worth it for the view.
Check out this ice !
The only bummer for the day was that we were out with our good friends Wendy and Jack First stop was an Indian restaurant and the second stop was to be a comedy show.… Right before dinner I started feeling Really queasy and (you don’t want to know)… But I had to excuse myself and get an Uber home. Suffice it to say that the Uber driver was kind enough to stop several times to let me… Well again you don’t need the details
I’m home in bed now and feeling pretty good. Bummed to miss the evening but happy to be feeling good again
DIane and I are on our way hoem from a very rainy trip to California..
as I go through my tons of email, I found a wonderful small world coincidence ..
Our good friends Carl and Brynn are on a wonderful trip to antartica. On the way they stoped in Bueons Aires.. and left a samston on the tomb of Eva Peron in La Ricoleta Cemetery
two weeks later I just a note from another good freind Steve Hamm
My IBM friend John Cohn lost his son Sam to an auto accident a few years ago. He makes ceramic “stones” with Sam’s name on them, and asks friends to leave them in places when they travel. I found this one on Evita’s tomb in Buenos Aires last week. Sam is remembered all over the world!
