Monday night – Yorktown and ARMONK

Hello from lower Westchester… I’m down at an IV a meeting… Staying in my favorite hotel the Ibm learning center. It’s now called that Gerstner center. A few things of changed around here… The most notable is that there are no longer bathrooms in the room. I can’t believe it.

Some of my friends to work here and that was wonderful to see. After a long long meeting today… And a really lovely dinner. I came back here and met up with my friends Hendrik and Werner from Cambridge. I got to show them around some of the crazy old buildings on this campus. It was fun. It brings back some great memories. Like the time I made the ghost movie because I was the only person in one of the buildings

Hendrik and I walked over to headquarters… But I found that my badge no longer work

there.

Time passes!

Sunday night late – busy day of rest

I had a really nice busy and restful day at home. Are used it to finish up a couple of things around the house, do a few of my own projects and prepare for the coming work week.

I got my calendar in order, my task list for the week… Wrote some fun code on the Citori super computer… And played around with my new high voltage set up. Almost shot myself a couple of times but in the most fun way possible.… The dogs and I got out in the mild weather. The Raines had brought the floodwaters up so we had to pick our way down to the river. It was running like crazy. It looked more like spring and winter

. I had planned to leave home around 4 PM… But didn’t get out until about six. I got To Armonk around midnight.… I spent the whole time in the car and fun conversations with friends.…

I’m enjoying thinking right now.

Saturday night – hanging out with Paul

Our cousin Paul is up here visiting after leaving Vermont in 2003. So much has happened since then. Diane is out of town so I spent the day with him just looking around to see what had changed. It’s great seeing him.. We went downtown and ate at skinny pancake. Then we walked down by the lake

We walked around Burlington including a stop in the Burlington city arts gallery. They had some really cool stuff In their current show

And then paul and I went and visited my friend Scott where we tried out a few high-voltage experiments. That included scott turning on the power supply when I asked him to… Without me remembering to let go of the high-voltage wires . Got a pretty good jolt and burns at the entry and exit points …. I was awake!

We ended up with dinner at Thai smile in Waterbury. I highly recommend it. Beautiful small place really nice people. The woman who runs it used to work with me many years ago at IBM. Please check it out.

OK got to get some sleep. More tomorrow

Friday night – worm dog

Super busy and eventful day. Fighting a few fires at work… And also had my inaugural meeting with the dean at UVM. She’s going to be wonderful to work with.… After that we had our last AI task force meeting in Montpiliar.… I’m glad to be done with it… And I enjoy doing it. I’m hoping our recommendations are acted upon… And would look forward to participating with them when they are .

Around 10 PM Hunter Kyle and I drove into Burlington to radio Bean. The band “worm dog” was playing. It included our friends Elliot, Nick and Brandon and Rick. Radio been was absolutely packed. They were turning people away. I understand why now because the band was so good. It was a really great time!
