So nice to be home!… Kaelyn Hunter pick me up around 530 at the airport… I got home in time to wish satori a happy 12th birthday!… Our little girl is a grown-up now. Both dogs were so happy to see me… It made me feel good. I even had my satori socks on that Gade gave me for her birthday
I made her a little cake Made out of peanut butter with 12 small American cheese candles… She ate it all up. Sister Tcharli just looked on… She didn’t want anything to do with it :-)
Afterwards I went up to a nice dinner at Jen and Tim’s house. Nate and Sid are in town and Marie was there as well as Kevin and Tim’s brother’s family. It was super nice
Now I’m jumping in the bathtub to wash off all that travel. More tomorrow!
That was a great vacation… And it’sNice to be home!
Saturday was a play day.. we decided to head out for a hike .. Diane, Gabe, Sean, and Gabe’s friend Mary headed out about an hour down the Columbia river gorge to climb Dog Mountain. Gabes friend Luna met us there.
Dog moutnain is a steep climb out of the beautiful gorge. We learned that it’s named after an unfortunate group of settlers who had to eat their dogs to survive being snowed in up there many years back.. a weird story to begin our hike..
It was. warmish (40’s) and rainy at the bottom.. but then changed to foggy.. and eventually FREEZING with gale force winds near the top.
Great day.; ended by sort-of watching Bladerunner while I played around with some AI stuff on Satori… Here’s a picture I made by combining a picture of me with a PeterMax poster
