The times are getting stranger and stranger. I had an early morning meeting and decided to stop by the grocery store on the way back just to pick up a few things. It seems like The rest of the world had exactly the same idea. The store was more packed than even the day before Thanksgiving. It was remarkable to see how Pik clean some of the essentials were.
Here’s the pasta shelf
Here’s the frozen vegetables
And here’s the toilet paper… No kidding!
It was truly insane.
I went straight home and worked the rest of the day. I had quite a few calls and in the background you could tell everyone had their family around them… Crying babies, kids, spouses… I think it’s going to be normal for a while
Around 5 PM I threw a quick Invite out on our work slack for everyone to meet me for a virtual beer using web conferencing. I was surprised how many of my colleague showed up. We all had to bring our own beer though
Later this evening ‘Kyle and I made spring rolls at that Kyle Hunter and I started watching the Colony again. I guess it was the reference to the scarcity of toilet paper that maybe want to go and watch it. It was really pretty strange to watch it again. I’ve only watched it the first time when it was actually on the air. It was eerily prescient
It too was about a worldwide viral pandemic
It’s so very strange watching this again.… There are many things about it that I loved and many things about it that I hate it. Take a look and see How it makes you feel given the current environment
