George Floyd’s death is such an outrage .. I don’t really know what to say. My heart goes out to all the people who have Been victimized and oppressed For so long that it’s come to violence. I only hope that we can find some leadership.l That can help us all Back away from this Cliff

Saturday night – whiter shade of pale

Fun day around the house… The big project today was to install black out curtains on all the windows in our room…. That six windows… (We still have one to do for the door ) We’ve been waking up around 530 with the sun… We kind of want to sleep later so this is an experiment. Anyway it’s not fun to put them up.

What else happen today?… Took a nice run along the river sure just as the damn rockets were starting to bloom. Really pretty and smells great

The ferns are now over ‘Diane’s head… Three weeks ago This was Baron ground… Actually three weeks ago there was snow…

It’s actually gonna be 42 tonight which is about 30° colder than it was last night

Give me the cold!

One cool thing I did was work on a project with my brother… Here’s me imaging my own carotids with an ultrasound probe. Kind of cool

OK time for bath… I have two unread New Yorkers… Doesn’t get much better than that

Friday night – Rhubarbara

Crazy busy day… 7 AM to 6 PM without a break. Three recorded interviews. But it’s Friday night. TGIF.… I celebrated with a piece of cheesecake from Sam’s birthday. Covered with Dianne’s homemade rhubarb sauce. Fresh out of the backyard. It is so delicious. I like the way it makes my teeth feel. That’s because it has oxalic acid in it and it kind of etches the enamel along your teeth a little bit

It reminds me of a funny German tongue twister called

Rhubarbara .. It’s about a girl in a small town who makes really good rhubarb cake. She starts a bar named after it and then barbarians with beards come and then a barber hast to come but the barber want some beer so she serves them at her rhubarb bar

You know what I mean?

Check it out !

Thursday night – Sam’s 28th birthday

Today would have been Sam’s 28th birthday. I spent the whole day thinking about him

What kind of man would he be? You’re such a great kid… So fun so kind… I’m sure he would be a great person.…

We did a lot of things in his honor today. The first thing is we woke up at 3:30 in along with our housemates hike up Bolton.… We wanted to see the sunrise

I got a piece of that old tower just to remember it bye. We’ve been up at roughly 28 times since Sam died to mark his birthday and death day

It was funny seeing all that snow and being so cold in the morning and so hot down here in the valley… It was 90° again

We were home by 6:30… I went to sleep for another couple of hours. We spent the rest of the day working around the house.… It felt good to be taking a day off to think about Sam. We spent some time in the pool and we took took the dogs down to the swimming hole

Around 4 o’clock we had cheesecake with homemade homegrown rhubarb sauce that Diane had made. Deb come by so it was the five of us. A perfect small quiet party for sam

All day long we were getting nice texts and emails from people with thoughts about Sam. Our friends Linda and david sent us some pictures that I had never seen a Sam and their daughter Andria who just got married.… The one picture of sam and Chi got me crying… I was looking for doing that today… So it kind of helped

I showed it to Ty… I think she cried too 😉

At seven we had asked everybody to do a toast to sam… We got another Red Bull port a little out for Sam and let a candle for him. I felt like a good closed for the day

Happy birthday sam… We love you my son… We always will
