Hot and busy day… Air was very still and humid… Made everything feel like slow motion.… Tonight we had video dinner with my mom. It was nice… Diane ‘Kyle and I sat down on our side and mom sat down on her side she had chili we had salad, and gazpacho. It was fun.We talked for about an hour… A lot of the conversation was about race relations. Got me thinking about the way I was raised in the way that my parents were raised and how many of our perceptions come from that.
I’m hoping that We’re entering a new phase of how we see race and other differences That hold us apart
I woke up this morning absolutely certain it was Monday. I started to get out of bed to go run a meeting and only then it dawned on me it was still Sunday. I had a bonus day!
We spent the day around the house… Floating in the pool, went for a run… Did a little bit of work. We had a great call with the kids and then headed down to Eastern Vermont to meet up with ‘Kyle and her family. First we took a short hike down in Pomfret Vt
Then we headed to South Royalton to the ” worthy Burger and quote… I guess it’s a big deal because it was swamp. It was full of lots of people… Many of them not wearing masks so I stay away. We got our food and took it to the park. We really enjoy hanging out with Kyle’s family. Her parents are so nice!It was the first time I’ve ever met Kyle sister and brother…
We had ( veggie) burgers and french fries… It was real Restaurant Food.. The first I’ve really had in about five months
OK… Got to get some sleep… It’s really Monday tomorrow!
We’re both feeling kind of worn out so I decided to watch a TV show or movies. I don’t usually watch TV… So we’ve been scanning trying to find something to watch. We ended up finding a video about Drive in intermission ads. We’ve been watching it for about a half an hour… It’s crazy
Just add to the excitement… One of our neighbors is firing fireworks somewhere behind our house.… ‘Diane remembered that we had the WebCam on the house so I was able to catch a few of the pictures with the fireworks in the distance.…
That’s what passes for excitement on a Saturday night… These crazy in-crazy days
Just walked inside from a wonderful showing of “the Princess bride” in our backyard. Been a long hard week… Nothing better than watching one of my favorite movies with a few neighbors.… If you haven’t seen the movie… Stop right this moment and go watch it. It’s all about true love… With a little bit of pirates, villainy, magic, swashbuckling…
