Crazy busy day .. ended on a good note . We had our annual fall meeting for VASE (Vermont association of science and engineering) . It was dirty all of course . This time we were lucky enough to have Dr Mark Levine, the Commissioner of health. It was really cool hearing how he helped make Vermont the leader in containing covid infections. It was cool Seeing all the ways that he helped lead Vermont to have the lowest per capita infection rate. I had always thought that it was because of our rural nature… But Dr. Fauci who actually called into one of Dr. Levine’s briefings last week said that Vermont was unique not because of its real nature but because of its compliance with masking rules and other precautionary measures
Started the day with a Covid test… My second. Just out of an abundance of caution after Max, Becky, Gabe, and Samm We’re here.… It’s not a pleasant process but I’m happy to do it just to be sure.
We got home around 11 and then Diane, ‘Kyle and I took off for Lake Dunmore region and mount moosalamoo To meet up with ‘Kyle’s family for a socially distant hike. We really enjoy hanging out with Kyle’s family… There are lots of fun
It’s nice exploring a different part of the state. It was a beautiful late fall day. Most of the foliage was already gone… But that meant most of the tourists were too 🙂
Not much to report today… A very long 12 hour day .. That ended watching the presidential debate. It was bad… But not as bad as last night. Goodness for that
The only remarkable thing about today was that I Got a run in during my only three hours today… And I ran down to the lower gorge in the Huntington River. I haven’t been back to the river since Chai died… (We got her ashes back today which was bittersweet)
Our dogs lives were very much involved in that river and it was kind of a nice pilgrimage to go back. It was a warmish day so I dropped my clothes and jumped in…
