Every time i walk inside My heart keeps catching on the fact that Satori isn’t here.…

I’ve been going by and playing with her toys a little… That helps I guess. But it’s still so weird. I’ve been having very vivid dreams about her. I can’t remember my dreams on Wednesday night but Thursday night I dreamed that I had programmed some cool moving video of Satori but I was putting on all of our car doors… She was curled up in a circle and chasing her tail. It was very Satori like and cute. Last night I dreamed that Satori told me that safety for self driving cars was really important to her and I committed… In my dream… To devote my life to that causes in her honor. Not a bad thought.

I spent most of the day like I spent the last couple of days thinking about her… And just being kind of sad. We had some nice visits today from friends. Viktor and Lucie came over for brunch… Then Marshall and Tyler… Then John and Lauren showed up. Ajay and Alex next-door we’re building a new swing for their daughter Carly… So they came over to swim. Later tonight Marcus came over and we all from vegetables. All of this was a good social distancing but it was nice to see folks

Later tonight we met up with max , Becky , gabe and Shaun To all eat homemade ice cream by zoom. It was a little bit of a tribute to Satori . It was so delicious ! ‘Diane made coconut with chocolate flakes and raspberries. It was so great

OK I’m heading off to bed. Hopefully can sleep

Saturday night – Marking my dad’s 90th birthday

My dad would’ve turned 90 would be like if you were still alive today… I wonder what he would’ve made of today’s crazy situation.

I was thinking of him all day he such a great guy. I Have such great memories of him. It is a funny and loving guy.

My mom my brothers family my sisters family and our family all got together for a short bit this afternoon to toast him. My mom had found a bunch of pictures of my dad with various babies and we were trying to guess who was who. It was pretty funny

Happy birthday Pa… I miss you every day. I love you very much !

Friday night – hedgies

I took most of today off… If I’m still feeling pretty sad. I use the time to do some recreational programs but I couldn’t keep my mind on my work. Sertorius always in my mind. I’m actually OK when I’m outside of the house. But every time I walk in I break down. I guess it’s just how unexpected life can be.

Last night neither Diane nor I could sleep… She came downstairs to make a cuppa tea and then ran upstairs because she was being chased around by a bat. The two of us spent About an hour trying to get it out of the house. We think we succeeded. At the end of that we were so riled up that we decided to go sit outside and watch the tail end of the Perseid meteor shower. We saw some beautiful shooting stars. At one point the neighbors very bright street light went out… And I think it might’ve been a wink from Satori

Around 230 Diane went up to bed and I laid down on stories better and played with some of her squeaky toys.… That made me feel strangely better. I’m doing the same thing right now. I even recorded the sound her latest hedgy made

Again… Probably a strange thing to do but it was comforting.

This sound makes me happy

Thursday night – missing Satori

It’s been a hard day… I missing Satori so much.

Our young neighbor Francesca threw us a picture yesterday

Last night Diane and ‘Kyle and I walked up Bolton as we’ve been doing every Wednesday night… I put on my satori socks… Diane carried Satori’s collar. The jingling from it was such a wonderfully familiar sound. It makes me cry but makes me happy too. (I recorded it…

I even tried wearing Satori collar for a while

Last night was hard. I woke up around 3 o’clock and couldn’t stop crying… I went outside to see if I saw any meteors and I saw one… I figured it was a shout out from our doggie. I went back in and slept on her bed for a little bit and played with Her hedgy. Believe it or not ..that helped

Today I took chai and the first one dog walk. It was hard… But it felt OK. Flippy and flappy the ducks were still asleep which was interesting.

I managed to get through the day… But It was very hard keeping my mind on work.several times I had to stop because I was crying too hard.…

I think tomorrow will be better

I miss you girl
