Monday night – appreciation

These stay at home days are all running into each other… There are very few simple pleasures actually brighten our days. One of the big things I’m so appreciative of is all the cooking that Diane does to keep the four of us not just fed but looking forward to being fed. The smells that washed up stairs by late afternoon make us all really look forward to sitting down at dinner… Tonight it was Shiseido peppers, fresh salad, ravioli And fresh garlic, olives sourdough bread.… Thank you Diane for giving us something to look forward to every day!

Send a night – welcome rock

We had to do arrival today. Our wonderful neighbor Bob found a rock that he knew that Diane would like in his backyard… Not just any rock… 1000 pound boulder dropped by the last Glacier that came through.… At 10:30 today He and his stepson Dan chain that rock to Bob’s tractor and they lifted it out of the ground and drove it over here to place in our front garden.

It looks so good there…

Diane looks pretty good there too!

Saturday night – cold water

Very peaceful day around here today. Much needed. I woke up last night around three not able to sleep because of thinking about work.

Spent a fair amount of today outside because it was so beautiful. Diane Citori and I took a walk to the lower gorge. That’s getting to be too far for China wok now… She’s definitely slowing down at 16 1/2… Still enjoys her walks though

The Huntington river looked inviting in the near 50° weather made it irresistible. Diane took this picture… Luckily the rest of me is underwater. Note the snow over my left shoulder… It was definitely “brisk”

Later tonight we had a video dinner with some friends.… It was actually very fun. We talked for about three hours. Laughed a lot. They felt good

time for bed
