That prepared me for the second fragment event of the day. While cleaning the ‘old lab’ yesterday I came across a 2 gallon jug of sake that gave and I made in July of 2018

I was going to pour it out and was a little nervous about taking off the airlock. I worried what it smelled like . Imagine my surprise when I pried off the cork and took a big whiff . And guess what?!

It smelled like sake !

I siphoned it out to get road of the yeast and rice sediment, g

Cleaned out the carboy.. and siphoned the Jouve back in. I took a large gulp of it both times I siphoned .. and it was delicious.. I put it away a bit to age a little more

Saturday night – open spaces

Spent a quiet day here… I was very glad to be able to get outside and go for about a 5 mile run. Explore the new part of Long Trail which parallels Duxbury Road. It goes across some Farm animal areas which are protected by electric fences.… I’ve been here a couple of times… But the new trail direction took me through the woods… I was running along listening to the radio when I got clotheslined by one of the electric fences. Luckily it was off

I came out near the catamount trail… The parking lot was absolutely full.… Not so sure about the social distancing there

Ran back and took the dogs out in the field where no one else was. I’m enjoying being away from people sometimes

Friday night – patzover and Ellen’s 94th birthday

Just off a really fun second Seder with my fathers extended family , the Patzs . There were more than 50’of us on the Zoom call. We had folks from all over the us and be few other countries (I think). It was a pretty activist Haggadah. Lots of social justice wrapped in there which suits me . At the right moment e all lit candles and sang happy birthday to our wonderful aunt Ellen. She’s 94 and still whip smart and fun

It was great to all be there for her

Happy peasach everyone
