Tuesday night – Shawn and Lexie

Had an amazing day doing helping some friends with a technical review . On the way home I stopped at the grocery store to buy some wine. I was walking up to the cashier and a little girl ran in front of me… She was so cute. I let her go first. I heard her dad call her and I turned around and saw that it was our friend Shawn. He was a really good friend of Sam’s. The little girl was Lexi… That I last saw when she was a baby. Her birthday is actually tomorrow… The day before mine. I quickly got out my phone and found this great picture of her dad Shawn and Sam bungee jumping together

It was so Much fun showing her that picture… She couldn’t believe it was her dad

I love looking at that picture forgot happy those kids are

I miss you sam

Wednesday night – stomp

Diane, Deb and I are just back from a great music event at spruce peak performing arts . Our friend John had an art opening where he took a piano apart and displayed the pieces as art . It was super clever and fun

Lauren, Ben, Tati, newt and caleigh we’re there too which was fun

After the art we sat down to Watch the Argentinian group Che Malambo. They were such great performers… It was an interesting mix of drumming, dancing, guitar music and follow tricks. I’ve never seen anything like it they were such great performers.

Super fun doing this on a Wednesday night… Looks like snow is coming. And I have homework to do. So I’ll sign off here

Tuesday night – state of the union

Trumps speech yesterday was really disturbing to me ..

so much xenophobia. name calling . And devicevness

We are a country built on immigrants. We are so much stronger embracing diversity than we are isolating ourselves

We need more love and less hate in how we face the world

Monday night- pick your friends

A funny thing happened tonight… Some friends called to tell us that they were locked out of their house. I drove over to see if I could help them out… Expected to have to break a window or something to get in… But I brought my lockpicks just in case. I learn to pick locks Welland undergraduate at MIT 40 years ago. It’s not a hard thing to learn but it’s a very hard thing to get good at. I’ve always been pretty good at it… But not great. Somehow when I need it… Skills there for me. I surprised myself and my friends by walking up to the door and on the first try flipping all five tumblers and opening the deadbolt. I don’t think I could repeat it… But it was a great alternative to breaking a window

Are used to always carry lotta pics with me… But I lost a good set to an overly zealous TSA agent…

Maybe I’ll start carrying them again…

You never know
