Tuesday night – Duane’s 65th

Tonight is our friend Duane’s 75tj birthday. He’s actually staying up late to sign up for his covid shots as Vermont is open for 65 year olds. Duane is the ringleader for our burning man camp “Duane’s whirld”. (which I actually named back in 2009)

Duane is an incredibly organized, generous , and .. out there person I know . He manages to get 30 or so out of us out to the desert and back every year … tonight we surprised him with a zoom surprise party . And it was actually fun !

So great seeing these folks . I miss them . Gotta get back to the playa

Happy birthday Duane .. thanks for getting us all together

Ok .. I confess I didn’t blog yesterday because nothing actually happened yesterday..

But lots happened today . Like this owl. Just before sunset, Kyle ran In and told us there was an owl outside her window .. and so there was

It was a shy owl .. looking the other way, but beautiful just the same

Thanks for visiting us

Sunday night – Bathtub reading

I was looking forward to the latest New Yorker coming. The article that talks about Billy and his work on artificial hearts was in this weeks issue. It came yesterday… So I couldn’t wait to jump in the bathtub tonight and read it. It’s a great article… It talks about the overall story of the development of artificial hearts. Billy and his work partner but Frazier factor into it pretty prominently. Billy is portrayed very well.

It’s so surrealReading about somebody you know so well… You love so much… In such a prominent place.

I realized after reading the article that like every New Yorker issue… The things pretty waterlogged. I got a dry this oneout because I need to keep it it

Other nice thing today is that Diane ‘Kyle and I took a great hike up at Little River. The snow is beautiful it was wonderful to take this 5 mile hike knowing that the snow will probably just be here this week. It’s been a great winter
