Sunday night (delayed) – hollow ween

Manchester that today was the least Halloweenie Halloween I can remember. There’s been a steady rain and the rivers are rising. It brings back memories of the Halloween storm of 2019? 2018? I don’t remember… Just did it took out A bunch of roads… And made the beach in front of our house on the Huntington.

We spent the day inside working on various projects… Still just holding space for our friends like

Just after dark Dan and I took a walk in the rain to check on the rivers… They were really high but it didn’t look like it was going to be a danger to the house

We took advantage of that to have our one piece of Halloween Candy… We were the only trick-or-treaters we saw.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween… We all deserve it

Saturday night (delayed) – Smaller party

He spent Saturday working around the house.… I think the only time we left the house… Was to go up and check on our friends cats.

Our friend duane Had been planning a huge Halloween party… But he decided to cancel it because of the forecast for heavy rain today. Instead yes just a couple of our Duane’s Whirld burning man Group up for a much smaller party.… I have to admit we had Trouble convincing ourselves he wanted to go to a party… But around 830 we dressed up in our costumes… I had a bike tire with LED strips around it and I was going as “retired”… And ‘Diane was wearing my red nightshirt with two tires crisscrossed across them and she was “too tired” It was fun coming up with that at the last minute

so the party was very small (about 12 people) we had a great time and we were glad we have gotten out. These are good friends .

As is this groups custom, When we get together we burn things… dune had put together A nice small burning man and the rain let up for a bit so we were able to get outside to see it burn

There’s lots on our minds

so It felt good for us to get out…

Friday night – Stowe pineapple

Busy morning… Addition to a bunch of work calls Diane and I had to go to the bank, and get something notarized, get a Covid booster and a flu shot… Then I met my friend Chris for lunch and a very productive meeting. By mid day it was impossible to stay inside it was so beautiful out… And rain expected for the next two days. Diane and I decided to hike the stowe pinnacle. For some reason I always call it the “still pineapple” in my mind… Sounds more fun. It’s a beautiful short hike to a beautiful view with a beautiful girl

We’re still holding space for a friend… This is such a strange time

Thursday night – calendar chaos

help !!! Since I’ve retired from Ibm and I’m still working for them I’m trying to figure out a way that I can keep my life straight with now three different calendars. I have my ibm one, my personal one and my Beto one… Well my personal and Beto ones are easy to keep in sane because they’re both Google calendars… It’s the crazy Lotus Notes calendar that doesn’t play well with others… I have two calendars going at any one time… Which is worse than having no calendar… Any geniuses out there with a way to save me?
