Monday night – PAC

Tonight ‘Diane and I did our civic duty. Our parking advisory committee (PAC) had a read out to the Richmond select board. It was a three hour meeting… Leading up to our part. It was very interesting to hear the towns business. It was the first time I’ve been back to the salon or in person in several years.

Our friend Kevin gave the PAC report.… We described how we all came together as citizens to address putting problems along the water ski river Corredor.… It was a good story because instead of just complaining about the way parking was Getting overrun during Covid….we actually identified nearly 100 new parking places including a completely new park.…

you can see some of that at http://richmondvt.gov/parking

We have lots of data about usage types and satisfaction… Overall I think Our group did a good job of getting things improved in a relatively short time. The select board appreciated the work we did. I think it was a pretty good model for citizens coming together.… One of the big questions we have now is whether to continue as a group… Or we stayed back into the other committees we all came from.… The select board is going to come back to Us and suggest what to do next. Overall it was a very. satisfying exercise
