we had our first hard frost today.. it’s nearly a month late . it’s the latest date on record for a killing frost . the wold

looked magical and sparkling.

at the same time .. many of the plants would not survive

I went up

to take a walk with my good friend tim . we both needed to be outside

it was good to be out with tim . we both needed it

diane and inworked around the house winterizing the rest of the day. we got a ton don.. cleaned the garage , cut the grass, top

dressed the rita from the painters lift, put up the storm windows , sort of cleaned the garage , cleaned out the dryer vent .. took down the trampoline , cleaned the front entrance way..put up the wood rings

we are now ready for winter !

later that night Momand his wife Judy came over. Mo is writing a history of our house and another schoolhouse which used to be in richmond but no longer exists . it was so fun answering his questions. he showed us pictures of our house that we had never seen

we are gathering up some docs for him no

Man… What a day. Today was the first tech jam in several years because of Covid. Techjam is essentially a jobs and technology fair for Vermont showing all the high-tech companies jobs they’re trying to fill. This is the first time event has been held in hula. hula is a Wonderfully uplifted building that used to be the Blodgett oven manufacturing place. It’s a cool co-working space with some dedicated offices. Beta has an office there that we can use whenever we want.

beta Was really the star of the event today. We had our mobile flight simulator in the airstream outside… We had a huge recruiting effort (40 new job recs open) near our offices..Our CEO… (And my good friend) Kyle was the Keynote as well as Martine Rothblatt a distinguished member of our board Go to Keynote speakers and a final interview.… They were absolutely fantastic and inspiring.

The whole day was great. beta I kindly offered some of their office space to an event I helped organize the first robotics. We had about 30 kids and coaches bringing robots of all different levels First Lego league, first tech challenge, and first robotic challenge the kids had a great time people had a great time seeing the robots and we even had too robot parades. One of the best things about the robots Events was that many of us had never actually met face-to-face. It was really great.

The whole techjam event was wonderful. So many friends that I hadn’t seen in so long. So many cool businesses…

Nate some of our other friends gathered at the house again tonight… It’s just nice for them to be able to get together somewhere. Avery was playing guitar player request for me… “Angel from Montgomery”… A Bonnie Raitt song I really want. Avery’s such a great singer…Made us so happy for a little bit

I’m just finding my way around the theater… There are at least six buildings now that the company uses. Today I went over to D2 (sometimes called R2-D2) over on industrial ave. I met with Jake whom I’ve known on and off for years and Alex and Jordan. We’re gonna be building a project over there that shows how the control services on the plane work… I’m super psyched to be working with these guys !
