Thursday night (delayed) – moms 88th birthday !

Greetings from Minneapolis. Dianne and I are here for my mom’s 88th birthday ( and my brother’s 61st)

We left home about 430 this morning and arrived in Minneapolis mid day. We had a pretty funny flight attendant on the flight from Burlington… He designed as an origami and shared some with us

We Uber to my moms house it’s settled in. Went out for a nice lunch and a good long walk

On our walk with some cool stuff. We stop bye mysterious our collective on Nickolai Island and watch the trailer full of wood look like spacious go by… I think they were hubs for large one generators actually

and then we Went out to my sister and brother-in-law’s club for a birthday celebration. The funny thing is that Max came in early to surprise my mom… We had supposedly called him Uber to take us to dinner… But Max arrived in a rental car disguised as a driver. My mom was really Surprised and happy to see him !

Great day !

Happy birthday mom and billy !

Wednesday night – roller coaster

I don’t know… Maybe it’s just me but everybody I run into him now seems to be on kind of a roller coaster of high stress low stress high stress low stress… I’m not sure it’s kind of like the clash between summer and the coming of colder months… More inside etc.… Lots of things getting crammed in at the end

I woke up at 4:30 last night and my brain was spinning so fast that i couldn’t sleep… It doesn’t happen very often. The benefit was I got a ton of work done so I feel better about taking off for my mom and brother’s birthday tomorrow and Friday… Ain’t no way really looking forward to seeing family

Tuesday night – Our 35th anniversary!

Tehan and I have been married 35 years ago today!… And I am so happy to be so in love with this woman. It’s been a long crazy and fun journey

We mark the day by doing a hike up camels hump where we went up the boroughs trails then down the Alpine trail across to The Bamforth trail and down… It was about 10.7 mph perfect day. It is a great way to reenact Climbing camels or the day before we got married 35 years ago!

We had a nice quick picnic up on the top of camels up which is pretty chilly

On the Alpine Trail we took a short detour to see the wreckage of the plane hit the mountain just after World War II… It was decorated with American flags which was nice because several of the airman died that night. I believe there was only one survivor

It was a beautiful walk today… Lots of water and lots of great mushrooms. We also got a ton of blueberries… So we knew bears would be around. sure enough we saw some of their scat full of berries… We made enough noise they keep them away

All through the day though it was warm and most places you could tell that falls coming

We got back to the house around six quickly showered and headed out to Burlington define dinner. On the way we stopped at the round church where we got married… We try to do that every year

Who is the first time downtown in a long time. We checked out the new town park with us with the fountains… And we ran into our old drum teacher Stuart… We made it to the pokey place we wanted to eat at just say were closing. They stayed open for two more bowls just because it was our anniversary

Happy anniversary my love… Thank you for being with me on this crazy journey. I love you so much !

Monday night – another Day in Parrot-eyes

Super busy workday… Not enough hours in the day right now to get all the stuff that Hass to be crammed into September 10. Taking tomorrow off because it’s our anniversary!

Away no where do you think I could share from today is it my friend Cheryl’s mature parrot Sammy Is having some issues with his eyes… Seems he has cataracts too… Just like me. ‘Cheryl sent me this rather striking picture from his examination today where they put Florescin drops in to look at his corniest… That face is so expressive
