Tuesday night – I see !

I’ve had a pretty adventurous day. Diane  and I woke up early and time to get me to the eye surgery center by 7 AM.   I was wearing my dad’s running sweats for good luck. I remember when he had this same surgery.. and  it worked really well for him. I remember how you could see the implant lens in his eye  if the light was right.
They quickly took me and prepped me and took me into surgery. In a couple of minutes they removed my old lens which was clouded by Cataracs… And popped in a fresh and shiny new plastic lens… The whole procedure took less than 20 minutes… I was sedated but I remember how cool it looked. A few minutes later I was completely conscious in a few minutes after that I was walking out to the car with Diane.

here’s “before”

Here’s “after”

Around 4 PM Dianne help me remove bandages and lo and behold I could see!…

I first thing I did was look at Diane… She’s very beautiful… And then I looked at pictures of my kids

Things are still a little funky… But I can already read A newspaper… Which is something I haven’t been able to do in six months even with glasses!

He’ll also be able to drive better… Especially at night. I’ve had to give up night driving a couple of months ago… Now I should be just fine

Many thanks to our friend Dr. Julie Larson for an excellent job… !

I can’t believe how quick and painless this whole thing has been !

Monday night – I Care !

greetings everyone… Tomorrow I’m getting cataract surgery on my left eye… Over the past couple years I’ve noticed things getting a little bit fuzzy… To the point that I can actually read anything on a printed page in normal fight even with my glasses. I’ve been faking it for about Six months… But really can’t get by in the world like that Even if you’re a good listener. 🙂

I knew it was time to do it when the nurse technician at the eye doctor I’m going to asked me “how did you get here?”… When I applied that I driven there… She said “maybe not a good idea”… So it’s time

Tomorrow I’ll have a new view on just about everything… Let’s see how it goes

Sunday night – Last night of Chanukah

We woke up late… And mid morning went out for a hike with my friend James… We went up to the Duxbury window on Danforth Ridge… It was bright and beautiful day. We were all wearing bright close because it’s still muzzle Loading season.
