I took a very fun 10 minute break today to watch the perseverance Mars rover land.
I’m not that much of a space night besides growing up in Houston during the height of the space race.… Well the technology is certainly cool… But really fascinated me was to watch the emotions of the ground crew. It was so much fun to see them succeed and see their great relief and excitement at the project. We all need a burst of that wonderful feeling when something works
Dianne and I tried to slip out today for normal Wednesday snowshoe… Unfortunately the storm that came on Monday and Tuesday that was supposed to bring us a foot of snow only brought us a couple of inches and then just enough sleet to make the snow hardest concrete.… We tried snowshoeing around the new Richmond town for us but the crust made it uncomfortable and
Very loud to snowshoeing.… If your foot broke through your shin got caught by the ice. Heck. If only it had been a couple of degrees cooler we would still have a couple of feet of fluffy snow. I hope we get a new batch soon because it’s been the best season in years for being outside
One silver lining is that there were some cool natural snow sculptures out there Made from the interesting weather
I am still amazed at how many Sam stones stories we still are getting even more than 14 years after Sam’s death. It’s such a nice way to keep Sam’s great spirit moving through the world
We got two today they were pretty interesting. A guy named Mar
Reported that he had found a Sam stone on a wall just outside of Dracula’s castle in Romania. The interesting thing is he wrote the note in Spanish…. Later in the day ‘Diane got a note from our friend Adam who is been skiing up in Little River and came across the same stone in a tree. We must placed it there sometime in the last couple of years
We still get several requests for Samstone and several Samstone placements and or sam stones found a week… If you want some SamStones go to http://Samstones.org. Will be happy to send you some
