Saturday night- knee deep

Beautiful day.. tons of snow and blue skies . Kyle dropped us off on notch road and we snowshoed back 5,6 miles on duck brook trail. We were the first ones through in knee deep and deeper snow .. sometimes waists deep. It took us 4.5 hours for what normally takes us 3 hours .. it was an Incredible workout ..

We’re going to sleep well tonight

Friday night- phone a friend

Bittersweet moment today .. I got a new phone … an iPhone 12 Pro. That’s a sweet thing .. the ‘bitter ‘ is that I’m walking away from

My trusty iPhone 8’s .. it wasn’t so much that phone but the case max made for me back when I carried an iPhone 6s .. must be 5 years (ah it was http://johncohn.org/base/2015/12/25/friday-night-laser-cut-day/). I had to machine it out to fit the different phones . That case has been with me in over 30 countries and about a million miles .. it’s taken more than 100,000 pictures .. that’s an old friend. I’m keeping it but just won’t carry it every day

Max Machine did have a solid block of Stainless steel… It has a genius set of latches that hold it in without screws. It’s been dropped and thrown and left in hotels and airplanes and survived all of that. It has a great laser cut image Image of my

Totem animal the squid on it. It’s probably pretty good luck.

See you around old friend !

Thursday night – more pics

I’m finding it hard to work these last couple of days. Every couple of minutes I see a new set of scan pictures come through His day and works through the boxes and boxes of 35 mm pictures we have. Everyone of them takes me back to the moment. Today DAN was scanning some of the kids when you were very young. They’re so cute !

Here is Gabe is a brand new baby

I can look at these all day… Actually I think that’s what I’m doing

Wednesday night- Brothers

It’s a beautiful snowy day here today.

Diane has been working hard at scanning the zillions of boxes of 35 mm prints that we have. It’s so great having this scanner… It makes the job so much easier… Mechanically at least. I have to say that I’m only looking at a fraction of the pictures a day in his scanning… And they really pull on my heartstrings… Definitely bittersweet… More sweet and bitter I have to say but still… They take my breath away.

I’m Deeply appreciative of the work that she’s doing… to go through these pictures.

Diane and I managed to get up in the amazing woods above John’s pond in Huntington/ Bolton

I hear a bath calling. More tomorrow
