Monday night – All downhill

Today was Martin Luther King day… Especially poignant this year after all the racial tension. It was the first time I’ve ever had it off as a real holiday… I’m not sure if that’s because I’m officially working in Massachusetts or because everybody is paying more attention. I hope it’s the latter.

Diane and I took off for a couple of hours in the early afternoon to explore the same area around John’s pond up on happy Hollow… But this time on skis. I hate to say it but even after 40 years of cross country ski and still no good at Hills… Either up or down. It was really tough going and I spent a lot of time on my backside trying to climb out of knee-deep snow.… Still it was beautiful up there. The pictures are all of Diane’s camera. Let me see if I can find some I’ll post them later

Sunday night (delayed) – Foot yoga

Gosh what happened on Sunday?… Not much which was kind of wonderful. Diane ‘Kyle and I took advantage of the deep new snow To explore some of the trails around John’s pond at the top of happy Hollow (I love the name happy Hollow)… There’s been a heavy snow after some rain and lots of wind. It made for a magical icing like affect over all the trees.… The snow is pretty deep in some places over my knees which was nice… This is the first real so far we’ve had. It was beautiful

Later in the afternoon we met up with Max, Becky, and Gabe For some “Foote yoga”… Diane top with a class using all sorts of props like tennis balls to help a stretch your feet. It was so great… Relaxing and revitalize. We are so lucky to have our very own Builtin yoga therapist !

Saturday night – gang plank

Slow and rainy day here.… We lost a lot of our snow and then are now in the process of getting some of it back. Still gonna only be a couple of inches. Craziest winter I can remember in 14 years

We spent the day doing small jobs around the house. One small job that turned into a big job is that I am slowly replacing all of the lightbulbs in the school house with wirelessly controlled bulbs.… The trickiest one is the one over the pool table.… We’ve been warned you never want to step on your pool table… Not even a little!

Wouldn’t you know when I got up on the ladder to try to replace the bulb I reached over and realized the bulb was loose and the wire snapped. Uh-oh

Dad and I quickly brainstormed and figured out a way of making a gang plank across two ladders just a few inches above the pool table but perfect for the repair

Never a dull moment in this crazy house
