I’ve been having a ton of fun with a photo project I’m doing. Diane and I have decided they were going to get all of our photographs from her 35 mm camera when we were pre-digital, all of our Phone images… And all of the pictures from my blog and a Samsung’s website and get them in one place… No make that several places to make sure they’re safe and accessible. Doing an experiment now at Max’s suggestion to put things on Google Photos. It seems to me that they have the best AI for identifying faces places etc. So far I have uploaded over 125,000 photos and that is not even starting on the 35 mm… But I think we have another 10,000.… The AI is still running but it’s identified about 600 faces so far… Of which I can attach names to about 400… The list is growing every day. I spend time staring at the screens trying to understand who might these people be. ? When I recognize someone I can type in their name and all pictures of that person are reliably identified. It’s amazing… It allows you them to ask when her two people were together or a person at the beach by name .Who are all of these people? Are they old friends that the i can’t recognize? Are they one time acquaintances from a selfie ?
Here are a few examples of the many pages I have yet to work through
Even though it’s challenging and time-consuming… It’s really fun… When I find someone that I recognize I get to spend a little time with them mentally and remember where we were and what we were doing.… It’s like taking a little vacation…
When we know we can’t
