We had a quiet day around home with Linda., David and Willa. We took a great walk up to the gorge, then came back and ttook a few thermal pictures then cooked a really yummy dinner.. Seafood Aribata. Home made pasta which we made together covered in Spicy Calabrian sauce .. All served with salad and Dianes home made bread.. So delicious. A great way to end the year !
We were all asleep (except me) by the time it was midnight.. A peaceful end to a busy year.
I hope everyone had as nice New years
Lets make this new year a fun and interesting one !
Our good friends Linda and David got here mid afternoon bearing Pizza from Eindicott. THey’re up for new years with their dog Willa.. Its so nice ot have them and cute little willa here.. We hung out, took a great walk and began planning our trip to Italy. which we’re takign next September. We’re going to go track down Linda and Dianes Italian roots. We spent soem fun time on genology sites looking for lindas relatives. For diane, we had the wonderful books that DIane’s brother Steve has made that outlines all of Dianes family tree. We’re getting really excited about this trip !
Todays the day that all the kids head back out west. Diane woke up early and took Max and Becky to their plane.. Then I took Gabe to his plane aroudn noon.
It’s been so great hanging out with Max, Beck and Gabe.. We missed having Sammantha here.. and as always missed our Sam.
WHile I was at the airport, I stoped at Beta to give my friend Denise and her Son Luke and Lukes gf Chip a tour of Beta.. That was fun !
We’d ordered a pelican case for Gabe’s microscope.. so I spent some time customize it to protect Gabe’s scope. It came out well !
Finn spent the night here because it was easier than driving him back to Hinesburg. So we had a nice breakfast and took a few pictures with the FLIR thermal camera I built.
Gabe went off to Bolton. while we went off with Max and Becky to see Max’s freidn Johs in Ferrisburg. Josh is a ligthing guy for Trombone Shorty and travels most of the time. When hes’ not traveling , he and his wife Jess live in a cool place back in the woods with 4 goats, ducks, chickens, two dogs and a cat.. We loved hanging out with all the animals . We then head from there back to waterbury (about an hour) for dinner at the Reservoir.
