I realize I’m slipping I’m keeping up with my blog… Apologize and will try to do better. Thanking back last week… On the 16th ‘Diane and I take a great hike at Honey Hollow… The snow is starting to go but the whole road with solid ice… It was kind of cool. We hiked up for a while and then went up in the woods. Thank g-d for krampons !

We had a midday meeting our finance guy Rick and then celebrated by going through a car wash… Still one of my favorite things :-)
Today was the Ides of March… Supposedly an inauspicious day according to Julius Caesar. For me it was a pretty peaceful one… ‘Diane had used last night to start making a bunch of Sam stones… They were so beautiful laid out on the table. It’s nice to be still needing to (getting to?.. wanting to ?) Make these 15 years after sam’s death. We still get plenty of requests for them. Enjoy hearing people find them all over the world. I think sam would think it’s pretty cool.
Today is pi day (3.14)… It’s a big day especially for folks from MIT. It’s the day that new applicants learn whether they got in or not.… Our Mit club (vomit… Vermont’s own Mit club) Usually celebrate with a party… But we’re not quite at that Post pandemic point yet.
Diane and I celebrated by eating a few pieces of pizza pie
As soon as I finish my pizza my friend Gari showed up and we are friend Paul and three friends of GARY’s headed off to higher ground for a Darkstar Orchestra show. DSO Is one of my favorite Grateful Dead cover band… They’ve been at it for over 20 years and They do it very well… They usually pick a real Grateful Dead show and play it song for song… I still haven’t figured out what show they were playing… But the place was full of people roughly my age and some younger Dancing like crazy. They had some great numbers… Including front of the devil, Franklin’s tower, another Saturday night… And a whole bunch of others. It was fun running into friends at the event.
thanks to daylight savings I slept till 9am ! we woke to deep snow
and bright sunshine.
we ate and headed out to
play in the snow. we went to bamforth ridge trail then veered off the trail to follow the west side of gleason brook. it was beautiful out
off the trails. about an hour in we decided to cross the brook to loop back on a different trail we knew. not as easy as it sounds as crossing the break is harder now that the ice is starting to melt . after about 20
minutes of
looking we found a place where we could sort of safely cross . the a steep up holl following the go’s to find our other unmarked trail. it was physically demanding and fun !
i’m guessing that’s the last big snow of the year..
