Diane and I took a nice long hike with our friends Cara (Coco) Tom and their dog Hoss. We headed up from their house on Camels hum road on logging roads, then bushwhacked up a stream to the ridge where we met the bamforth ridge trail. We then hiked down that until we cut left and bushwhacked down towards gleason brook. On the way we found an old long ago abandoned farming road we call “sheep shoot”.. and followed it back down to the base of bamforth ridge. It was about 6.5 miles and really nice. It was nice to spend that time with Cara and Tom.. though Tom had to turn back early for a music lesson he was teaching.
back at home I continued my effort to go through all the stuff I’d broguht home from IBM.. Some I kept, some I photographed and recycled.. In the end, I felt the need to keep the leters that kids havd written me for visiting their schools.. but didnt feel the need to keep all the goofy plaques i’d gotten through all those years at IBM..
One thing that was cool.. was finding the first bag of “Zatar”.. the middle eastern spice. I liked that word so much that I used it when I did all my electricity and sceince shows in schools… I still use it as my “playa name” out at burning man. Many people only know me ast Zatar
