Saturday night – Playing possum

Another Fun day with the Lachmanns..   We had another visitor too. Diane is leading the charge to try and mouse proof our house. She’s done a ton of work to seal holes in the foundation and the sill. It’s working .. our mouse capture per week is way down. One of the steps is that I have a new game camera that we’re using to see where the critters come in. It’s amazing to see how many try. One surprise is this guy. it’s a small possum that every night walks around our house and checks out our back and front doors.. he’s not getting in as far as we can tell. but it’s weird to see him ..  Note.. he may look like a huge rat.. but we have enough pictures and measurements to knwo he’s actually a small possum.

Once everyone woke up we all headed to Beta for a quick tour.. then down to Burlington to hang out on Church street  (there was a doggy costume event) and  visit the echo center. So fun to have a little one with us !

Friday night – play date with the Lachmans

I love not working Fridays ! We spent the whole day with Steve, Kate, Matthew, Carolyn and Anna.. We got to see Vermont and our life through the eyes of a 20 month old. First stop was Ben and Jerry’s.. .. We spent most of our time playing on their very cool accessible playground

Then home so Matthew could work and Anna could nap. Diane, Steve, Carolyn and I hiked Bolton

Then home for a yummy pesto dinner.. Nice having  visitors !

Wednesday night – Finn-again

Fun day !.. Woke early and did a fast hike up Duxbury Window.. It’s one of our new favorites. a 3.2 mile total out and back with a variety of terrain.. some steep, some flat.. kind of shady but beautiful. We know it so well we can run walk it.

Work today was cool.. we had a middle school group come in which is always fun. We’re spending more time using these tours with kids to understand how to improve out tours. It’s interesting to try to see things through the students eyes. .

Later that evening I had another chance to do that wit our young friend Finn asked for a tour. after eating sushi with us.. . It was really fun taking him through because I could ask him about what he wanted to know and what we needed to explain better.   He’s such a great kid

got home and put in a long night working out the electronics for a “magic heart” for an upcoming show at the flynn..   Haven’t worked with EL wire in a while. it’s weird stuff !

Long fun day !
