Friday night – multiplier stack

I love fridays.. they are the only thing that makes me feel retired at all.  . We strated with a hike u bolton  to teh top of the lift, then down cbrass.. it was a great crisp day

then our friend Chuck came by with a piece of equipment he knew I would love.. its a voltage multiplier stack for an old X ray machine.. it’ makes 5000 volts intow75000 volts.. how cool is that ?   Chuck used to  fix xray machines.. and he knew I’d like this relic..

The first thing I though of is how my friend Scott would have loved to have played with this.. I sure miss scott.. I think of him nearly every day.. ..   Miss you buddy !

Wednesday night – brain wiring

Not much happened today.  had a very productive work day at home. I finished up some wiring and code for a Beta work project and made good progress on the theater props I’m doing for my friends Julianne and Belinda. One is a magic staff that has  remote controlled swirling leds and a super bright white flash  accompanied by smoke. The other is a collaboration I’m doing with another maker on a ‘magic harp; that plays itself using electroluminescent wire. Super fun.. but its got me in another time bind.. grrrrr how do I keep doing this to myself ?

Tuesday night – Andrew and Friends

Fun gathering at our house this evening !. Our good friend andrew and his imaginary wife Sarah, dog Josie and their friend Margaret are in town for a couple of weeks. Andrew is an old burning man. friend of ours. His wife sarah is only imaginary for the fact that most of us have never met her. .. (I actually did meet her in an airport for a few minutes once) By day Andrew’s  an environmental lawyer and environmental law prof at stanford and berkeley. and an avid cyclist. . but on the playa he’s a great dusty philosopher  . I can and have talked to him for houras about many topics.. mostly regarding environmental health

Having Andrew in town was a great excuse for a potluck at our house for our burner buddies.. Amey made a burnign man pie . Coco made turmeric brownies ..    Gizzo and Laura bruaght their doggie Belle. so we had 2 dogs in the hosue again.. .

Super fun for a school night !
