Monday night – Lake Morey

Diane and I left the hose early this morning. I was headed to meet my friend Liz at a meeting at and Agency of education technical center (CTE’s) event at the Lake Morey resortLiz and I were there to talk to the Citg folks about first robotics. ‘Diane and I had planned to take a hike before the meeting. We almost didn’t get to because our GPS tried to take us down a road that was more like a ditch. Anyway we got there with enough to take a nice albeit  cloudy hike up bald top Mountain

The CTE meetign was fun and interesting. I ran into several old freinds thereir .. Doug, Chis, and Jim in particualr

i I don’t think we made any first converts on this trip… Tech centers are not really a good position to do after school type programs. I’d like to continue to work on that though.

It was really nice that Diane came with me .. it was a beutiful drive !

Sunday night – hiking with Kyle

we began today with a quick hike  up to duxbury window

We were working and cleaning the garage today so that we can get both cars in when it snows.… Kyle came over to get some more of her stuff so it was really great to see her. We decided I’ll go for a hike up Bolton . It was some sort of huge mountain biking event at the base Lodge so we headed back down to the quad and hiked up the lift line and then down some of the wilder trails… We tried to go down Adam solitude but couldn’t stay on the trail so we ended up GPS in our way back down to twice is nice. It was really beautiful and really fun catching up with Kyle.

Nice to get two hikes in one day !

Saturday night – Taft hill

This morning we headed over to Jen and Tim’s to see some of Jan’s family. Her sisters nan and coco and her brother Marty and his wife sue we’re up visiting. The women put on hunters orange and went for a hike up to Rand Road… The rest of us put on our reflective gear river bikes down to Huntington and up Taft Hill… It was quite a climb for a bunch of us who weren’t buried by condition but it was worth it. The foliage was beautiful. I even saw a sloth in a tree… Well not a real sloth 🙂

we got home to find the ladybugs tryin to steal our house !

i’d hate these things if they weren’t so damned cute…
no scratch that.. I Do hate these things

Friday night – Charlie Hill trail and friends

we spent the rainy day working on the house. and I spent some time reworking the code for a demo at work.. something I really enjoy doing.

kate afternoon we decided we had to get outside. Dianes goal was to get some sun on the trail.. but by the time we got to little river the hills were pretty well in the shade. We decided to hike any way.. and ended up following  the Charlie Hill trail (I think).. it was. wide nd groomed trail that looked liek it could be used by a  wheel chair.. it mapped the old WPA worksite that used to be here.. it was quite beautiful.. t the end of the trail we found a smaller , rougher trail that took us to the most spectacular. water falls  . water slides. and crossings  We’d never seen them.. after so many years of exploring this part of the state. We bushwacked up through the mountain all the way up to the woodard road…  and walked down that

at the bottom of that long road we amazingly ran into our freinds ellen, will and julia… with their dog tiny.. It was pretty incredible to run in to them as we came out of the woods and they just happened to drive by on a place 25 miles from their home. .. We jumped in their car and went up and explored the waterbury dam for a while. so beuetiful in the late light

So niice seeing our friends.
