Today we attended a celebration of life for our friend Joe.
Joe was a good freind and dad to our ver good friend Kevin and Pat. Joe was a quiet and funny man.. He was a great dd to his sons. . in recent years Joe worked at TSA. and he was often the person I saw when I came and went frot eh BTV airport so many times in the past year.
the memorial was at All Souls.. it was a really nice gathering. we heard form Joes Brothers , his friends and his son Kevin. It was a beutiful day to remember a really nice guy
After the service we ent out side and talked in the beautiful afternoon.\ on the lake. It was peaceful
several of us then headed over to Jen and Tims to be with some of Kevin and Pats friends that had come in for Joes memorial. It was both fun and sad.
Kevins weddign is only in 3 weeks.. we’ll be all missing joe
James, rebar and I worked hard today to get the poofer system built and leak checked to see if we could do our first test fire today. It was a long fun day.
This week was when we really started building the fire apparatus for fluffy our burning man car. I was lucky enough to be able to call in my friend James from Boston who came up for 2 1/2 days to review the design that chris and I had come up with And check out the parts that I already ordered. Our goal this week was to actually prototype the system which was key to the success of fluffy. I very much appreciated James making the trip up. We would really not have been able to do it without him
after a long day James and I walked down to the lower gorge… It was good to end a day of fire with some water
When we got back to Vermont our friends had started filtering in for our friend Joe’s memorial which would be held on Friday. Here Nate, Avery and Avery start Otis’s.
We’re grateful that people feel comfortable together at our house.
