Fluffy is no fully wired and Diane and I are able to test patterns on her. this is something we never got a chance to do last year..
I need to taker a minute to say that none of this would be possible without Dianes hard work in organizing the naming, lables and assembly instructions for this beast. Even though Fluffy is stealing our summer (it truly is).. I’m so grateful for the chance to work this closely with Diane on a big techcnail project. Just like she and I have worked together on ever other big project i’ve had to do. We work together so well .; She;s super sharp techcnailly , creative and organized… and can work with anyone… I feel so lucky to have her as my main collaborator.
This is my second post for the day… I don’t feel right about mixing a really sad message like attending Nicoles memorial with the other aspects of a day..
Life has that wierd mix thoguh..
I did want to call out that we also attended the AAnnual VoMIT (Vermont’s own MIT club) annual picnic. It was a great oppertunity to catch up with soem folks I havent seen in a long time.
Later we had dnner with Tim and Jen at Deb’s house..
Today we attended a memorial gathering for Nicole Killian. Nicole was an awesome explorer, athlete and traveler. She got her doctorate in Nursing and was a Nurse Practitioner doing service trips all over the world. She died while hiking in the Canadian rockies.. Such an amazing person. Here’s her obituary in VT Digger. What a full life .. !
So hard to figure out what to say here. Our hearts go out to Nicoles parents and family
Today we started the demolition of the top of the woodframe. The top is getting pretty rotten after about 20 years ., so we’re working with our freind Eliot to rebuild it. The big job today was to take down all that rotted wood , tarpaper and steel. It was hard work.. and again a little hearstring pulling. All three kids used that room on top as a fort. Still it feels good to rebuild
Tonight we had dinner with Lou and Kathy.. ,Barbequed Fish , Corn and Basil icec ream from us !
