Tuesday night – Fluffy, VASE

Today  George, Doreen , Diane and I headed down to Shelburne. First stop was Douglas Sweets to see Deb, Hannah and Brit..(who’s here visiting from Portugal !)   I’m always amazed at what Deb and Hannah have built there !

While we were down that way, we  stopped in at Earthkeep to check in on fluffy and retrieve  my camping gear and some of the electronics components for cleaning. It was fun showing fluffy to George and Doreen. George is a burner.. we actually met on the playa in 2016. !

We  made a quick stop at Shelburne farms.. tried the bakery.. but they were out of bread ! No worries.. it’s such a beautiful place to visit !

Around 4 I headed down to Middlebury for the VASE annul meeting . One of my favorite nerd fests of the year. It began with a great talk by my freind Josh B. He talked about AI designed nanobots. He’s gotten lots of press for this work. It was interesting to see what was under the covers.

We named a new teacher of the year.. and inducted some new members. These events are fun because I get to meet with such a cross section of people.

I left thre and drove as quick as I could to higherground. Diane, Max and Becky were at a Victor Wootan show there. Beckys parents had come but left by the time I got there. I got there late.. but enjoyed what I saw ! Victor is an amazing bassist. he plays with his whole family.

We got back home late.. in time for max and becky to eat the last of the marriage carrot cake. I

I guess thats a wrap !

Monday night – ramping down

Today people started to head back to where they came from . Gabe left first. Its always so nice to see him.. What an amazing man.

Then back home for a sleepy breakfast

From there we all went our differnt ways.. George Doreen Diane and Went up Honey Hollow to see soem foliage.. it’s one of our favorite walks

From there we met Max and becky at the udubon society trails for a second hike of the day. This place is really special to us.. we used to brign all the kids here when they were young. its where the haunted forest was born. !

Huh ?

We stopped by hunting gorge to show it to doreen and geoge.. (george, gorge .. hmmm ?)

When we got home George offered to show us a treat ((?) from his childhood. A peanut butter and miracle whip sandwich his mom used to make him.. Now i’]ve always thought that miracle whip was a kind of mayonise.. but not so..the label says that  it’s a mix of mayo and ‘dressing’ . Its much sweeter than hellmans..

Gotta admit it wasn as terrible as I thought !

Later in the evening we headed to Beta .. I wanted to give my Peeps a tour.. It was so fun.. Max flew the sim over to where our house would be… if it were on the map. You can see the intersection of the Huntington and the winooski where max and beck got married

home to sleep .. perchance to dream !
