Wednesday night – attachment

Pretty quiet day.. most notable thing was our Fluffy meetup at Hula this evening. We are looking for ways to simplify the setup and takedown of Fluffy’s 50 some odd plywood clouds. This week focus was on “attachment”..

not the Buddhist kind of  attachment, which  is the root of all suffering
( I note.. the 4 types of attachment called out by buddhists are:

  • attachment to this life;
  • attachment to the three realms of saṃsāra;
  • attachment to your own self-interest;
  • attachment to a true reality or existence in things and their characteristics

This is attachment of the more literal kind.. as how we’re gonna attach the #$@3%& clouds to the side of the bus. Lefty (Stein) took us through his thoughts on how we can simplify the support structure for the clouds using precut plywood stands. They should be significantly easier than the 30 or so “christmas tree” supports we currently use. We have until April 15 to work out the detail.. it’s looking good.

The other thing we discussed was the Gantt chart diane and I made for all the stuff we’re trying to do for the lights..

Lots of stuff in there.. but doable if we keep making steady progress …

Tuesday night – Just Yoga

Very quiet day. Highpoint was a good day at work and an excellent prep call for our upcoming XenboX project in California.. (More on that after it happens). .

My favorite thing about Tuesdays is Diane’s pop-up Yoga classes . We only have them  on free Tuesdays and tonight was a free Tuesday.. A bunch of nice people over for Yoga and soup…

It doesn’t get much better thanthat !

Monday night – Chris’s Kitchen

Felt like a slow start today..even so got in a nice run with diane and enjoyed the signs of winter changing to spring. Check out this ice in a puddle. Is that water ?!

Stopped by Chris’ on the way to work to check out his new kitchen.. he’s built it all by himself. It’s so amazing what that guy can do !

thats it for today… nice and quiet

Sunday night – Tim 2.0

Today  is the first time we got to see our friend Tim since his heart surgery Tim had a successful aortal valve replacement in Boston last week. He came through the surgery very well  and feels  great.. except for the sterenotomy.. We took a short walk with him and jenn.. he looked so pink and rosy.. its amazing. He said the docs warned him to take it easy because he’s likely going to feel so much better than he had that he’s likely to overdo it.. our job is to tempt him

I also have pictures of his scar.. but . I’ll spare you !

Later we met our new friends Aria and Daniel at Beta to show them around.. We spent lots of time  talking about vermont things.. like where to find a dentist, where to eat, where to hike.. etc

peaceful day…    until

we started doing a project managment chart for our part of fluffy …Yikes

we have so much  to do !
