Heading home tonight after a great visit to see Gabe in Portland. We checked out of our wonderful Airbnb and carted our stuff back to gabes..
We got to spend some more time with Nova.. (we love our granddogs !)..
After an early dinner we headed to the airport for our red-eye..
Gabe dropped us off
As we boarded our plane we noticed that the screens on our row were mislabeled.. 10A, 10C, !0B…
somewhere on this 757 there’s at least one line of code thats bad.. hope its the only one !
TIme to sleep,

Worked remotely today,, got a fair bit of programming done,. I kinda mis working from home… even when I’m not home !
Tonight was pretty special..it’s our last night in Portland for this trip, so we decided to cross the street (literally) and go to the Avalon.. It’s a super strange arcade that’s been open since the 1920s. Its got a movie thetre and a ton of arcade games.. The best is the Duck machine. Gabe’s house is completely decorated with these cute rubber duckys.. all decorated into difernt types.. pirate ducks. monster ducks , minecraft ducks, chewing gum ducks. .. I’d always seen them, but never set foot into the Avalon to see where they came form.. Tonight’s the night !
I’m a duck man at last !

Nice slow start to the day. Gabe and Sam both had a ton of work today.. so we wanted to squeeze in a short hike. We chose the Forest Park trail.. which goes along a ridge outside of Portland. It has beautiful views of the city and the mountains behind it. .. On the way up we went through a makeshift driving museum of crazy stuff one resident had used to decorate the road.. Never figured it out.. but it sure was creative !
THere wernt many other hikers up there.. but we did come across one woman who was wearign exactly the same shoes as diane !
Great hike… amazing that this terrain is so close to the city !
Later that night we met Mel and Shawn for Korean Barbeque.. which is quickly becoming one of my favorite meals !
Long live TTEOKBOKKI !!!
