TOday was great.. our old freind Trevor was back in town for the first time in 14 years. Trevor was a good friend of Sam and Gabes gack in the early 2000’s.. The kids all hung out together up at bolton and at each others houses. We have such great memories of him being always around.
(I’ll never forget that Trevor was actually spending the night here the night Sam died.. )
Trevor left Vermont in 2010 and moved down to Texas with his family. SInce that time he’s had three kids and is married to a wonderful woman. He’s got a great job and is living life well..
Trevor is in town to attend a memorial for a friend from High School. Having him here now seems like no time had passed at all. DIane went and picked him up at friends in Colchester and brought him back to see his and our friend Ian before he flew home to London this morning.> Diane spent the rest of the day taking Trevor around to soem of his favorite places.. THey went to Bolton,. Had pizza at Zacharys, stopped for a cider donut at Cold Hollow then came back for oen of DIane’s wonderful homemade pasta and pesto dinner with caramelized onion. focaccia.. all of Trevor’s favorites !.. Nate and Hannah came over for dinner too… Gabe called in too… He and Trevor have reconnected and have talked for hours
it was so nice having trevor around again ! it was like old times. !
I had to go to Saint Albans today for work. Before I went, I had to go pick up some signage for shannon. When I was at SB signs, I noticed one of the cars had the license plate DON8LYF. I recognized it as an organ donation sign. I asked the folks at SB about the story. It turns out that the owners one-year-old daughter, got a liver transplant, which saved her life.… While we were talking about it, one of the other folks who worked at SB, Ben, recognize the sandstone that I had in my hand. He knew sam!… It was a really nice connection
We had yog soup night today because the waether was too bad on monday. Always nice to see folks. Our old freinds Tom and Meg came.. Tom lived here in the house about 40 years ago (!).. we actully still have his speakers which are more than 50 years old !
