TOnight we got an aurora alert.. I headed up tot eh tour.. maybe a fait touch of color.. but these hot summer nights are beutiful

I was workign late in my shop.. on this hot night.. look at how bright dianes lowing petunias are .. ..

Busy day aroudn the house.. DIane and I took a quick 8 mile bike ride down duxbury road..  Sharp eyed diane spotted this guy I a tree just a few meters away from us !

Sharp eyed diane also noticed that oen of our front windows had been broken.. ir’s probably the least eraxchable qwindo in the house.. right over the front dooer. We didnt find and projectile.. just glass inside. Our best guess is that bird or bat must have hit it..  Not sure how we’re goign to get that oen repaired !

big goal for the day was to reverse the sinkage in the deck next to our pool.. its been sinking.. and the deck is now impingign on the filter inlet. I got a lally jack, built a strong base foe it.. and cranked out teh sag. Very satisfying and our pool immediately appreciated it.. 

nice to get something like that done !

woke up on the forth of july in canada.. somehow fitting given where our country is heading. these days.. 
I did notice that teh meds I take every day are still red, white and blue.. so im at least that patriotic still .. I’m not porud of what are govement is doign to our contry or its standing in the world.. but I’m still very proud to be an american . 

we headed down to the US late morning.. then spent a few hours workin around the house. About 4 we headed to shelbourne museum for a picnic,  a VSO concert… and fireworks.. 

They played the star spangled banner.. and I was oddly stirred.. again.. the more our country is loosing is principles of openness and , welcoming  to foreingers.. and being a strong and compassionate collaborative leader in the world.. the more dissalusioned I become with  our government.. 

but I still love our contry for what it still stands for.. ..despite what the current administration is trying to change.

Picnicing was great.. saw lots of freinds, ate soem great foods, and listened to a really fun concert..  lots of croud pleasers.. patriotic songs.. sousa marches, west side story.. it was fun in a kind of guilty pelasure kind of way

the fireworks were great !

Happy forth ya’ll ! lets take better care of our coutnry !
