Ben came over for dinner tonight to plan out our camping arrangements at   burning man. Usually I camp in a tent.. or sometimes even under the bus, .. but this year we decided to go for a little more comfort. Ben, diane and I are renting a camper together ..  We worked out who’s picking up what , when, how we’ll slit the rental, etc..

We left our airbnb early in the morning for the trip back to vermont. By an accident of google maps qwe ended up taking the Q.ssex-Charlotte ferry which was a fun and pleasant surprise

We were eager to get home bcause our FLuffy freinds were comign over for an inner tube float and potluck . THey showed up by 1 and we headed down tot he winooski.. It was a hot day and the river was slow .. it took us 5 housrs to float from our house to Richmond.. It was so nice and slow.. we had lots of time to talk.. I even took a nap while floating !

Fu way to end a very busy weekend 

This week we’re starting the gear up to burning man.. will be busy !

TOdayius the big day for Pat and Lexy.. it started with a walk run around echo lake..   We chose to to walk because the whole way was cement sidewalks.. not really a great natural run.. but Super nice meeting up with lexy and patricks freidns and family

After the walk we all went over to martha’s airbnb for a nice breakfast.. 

Tonight was the wedding (short and sweet)..a nd the wedding party. It was a beutiful settign right on the lake. We had a great time talkign to everybody,.. .. the band was great and evrybody danced. Mid way through we put soem lights on lexy and patrick for a bit which was fun.. I think it may have surprised patrick too much..

Lexy and Patrick are a really nice match. Its clear they love each other very much.. We’re happy to be here for this !!!

We had most of the day to ourselves so we headed to Saranac Laketo do soem conaing. Saranac lake is much more ‘real’ than lake placid.. we enjoyed checkign it out. We rinted a nice light weight 2 person canoe and headed out into meadow lake for a nice 3 hour paddle and picnic. 

On the way back we stopped to see our freind Shannons summer house, met her neighbor and checked out Shannon’s favorite ice cream place !

THis evenign was the welome reception for the wedding. We got to meet lots of Lefy and Pattrics family and freinds. Lexy’s Unclude is our old freind.. and my former boss, Gary. It was great reconnecting with Gary and his family !

We also got to see Martha’s family whom we’ve met before.
