Sunday night – Waterloo workshop and Karen and Leni !

Today we did another workshop.. this time at the University of Waterloo.. It went very well. I could tell that the kids enjoyed it.. 

AFter the workshop the guys gave me a ride down to Burlington Ontario . My good friend Karin and her daughter Leni drove all the way from Buffalo to meet me for dinner. I’ve known Karin  since 1979,, 47 years !. She was 8 years old when Ileved wit her family in Vienna Austria.. I’ve stayed in touch with Karin and her family through all those years.. this is the first time i’ve seen her in the US. Leni is studying at Mercyhurst college where she plays hocky for their team. She and her sister are on the Austrian national team.. and might one day play in tehir olympic team .. who knows ?

It was so great catching up with karin and leni.. slots of memories.. lots of fun !

Saturday night – Toronto Workshop

.. .Early this morning we headed to the University of Toronto.. We set up the workshop. .. a  little rough start with the AV>. but it worked out great 


Afterwards we all went to a great place in china town. Alvin impressed us with his cantonese !

We had some greta help from some of the Toronto university students as mentors .. and some great hackclub friends like Ryan, Alex ,

Friday night – Canada workshops

Today my freind clay and Iflew to roronto for the start of a two day pcb workshop.. TOmorrow we’ll eb at the University of Toronto.. and the next day at the university of Waterlo. Looks like we’ll have 100 student making their first circuit board

we’re tag teaming with  our friends at tiny tapeout. We’ve collaborated a bit with them .  we had a great dinner together with folsk from the local university..

thursday night – new electronics shop !

Today was a big deal at Generator, Today we opened our new electronics shop. Its funded by teh VGAN grant that unfortunately  got cancelled by the Trump administration. For some reason this grant survived.. and we’re grateful . This new shop is all equiped for printed circuit board creation and test. .. ,   

the event was well attended.. the mayor, the state trasurer, vips from uvm.   Meg lead the staff in the ribbon cutting,.. I got invited to speak and help too !

My freind Paul  showed off the new gear. 

This is goign to be a fun place to play !
