Tuesday night – go time !

Today is go time. ! (or as they say in German slang: Heute geht’s um die Wurst! (today it’s down to the sausage !)

We got out of the house around 8 and droce all day down to jfk. I. keeping with this winter’s theme.. it was snowing liek crazy until we fot out of Vermont .. KInda cool that Nova came in to Vermont on a snow storm and is leavign this trip in a snowstorm !

we dreove straight throgh until abotu an hour and a half NW of the city and stopped at Sleeping Gant State Park. it was a beutiful place to let nova get some fun ball chasing in.. It was a really beutiful place.. it was a sunny an windy..

Got to JFK at just about the time we waimed for.. 6-ish for a 9 PM flight. I drobed DIan and Nova at the terminal, while I drove to takwe back the rental van.. I was told that cold take an hour.. but it wonly took 20 min.. Then We all went inside to check in.. Nava didnt knwo what to make of it.. whe was very nervous.. but shuch a good and calm girl. We had come to JFK and a booked a lufthansa flight becuse our normal airlien United no longer took dogs. .. Lufthansa is in the same alliance, and they have a great reputaiton for carrying pets… Our only two chices were Newark or JFK.. and I’ll do anythig to miss Newark these days..

The good folks at lughtansa did not dissapoint !. We were met by a man named Mr Mutoo and his colleague Madalyne.. Between them thaty made sure we know everythign we needed to do help Nova have a good trip. We were told we could come back at the last minute, to shorten the amountt of time Nova had to be in her crate.. So .. we had alost 2 hours to hang out. first we went outside to the small doggie area and gave her soem dinner (ling with soem meds for nasea and anxiety). she ate well.. then we decided to walk around inside there was actually a lounge outside of security that took our Saphire card as membershi.. so the trhee of us got to go in there and chiol out..t hey hed us and got us drinks.. Nova got to hang out with us, which was so much fun. There was a woman with a cat who was flying to hing kong in there.. I was glad we had a realitvly shorter tri ahead

then it was time to get Nova loaded in.> Again My Muttoo and Madalyne wwere so helpful and calming. We took nova over to the special cargo place, and got her into her crate using some cheese as encourgment. She went right in.. .. she seemed to be ok with everythign. it was so weird to see her rollign away on the cart lookign back at us wondering hat was goign on !

I couldnt help noticing that TERMINALONE is also TERMIN ALONE .. I was pretty sad.. but knew however the trip went, she’d love to get back together with Gabe.
