Interesting travel day… We started with a hike and I managed to get a really bad tick bite. But I wanna go into the details, but this guy was pretty far under my skin. I had to do a little bit of surgery to get him out and given it was a Sunday I wasn’t quite sure how this was gonna work out, but I was able to call our doctors answering service and was able to get the anti-lyme antibiotic before I left on my trip

I got on the road at about 1230 and drove down to Chappaqua to meet up with my friends Rich, and Rashi. Richard is a dear old friend.. And technically, he’s my boss and my Ibm emeritus role. Above all things he’s a brilliant and kind and creative and fun person. Rashi is also beautiful, wise and fun to talk to. I got to their house around 6:30 and rossi had made richard’s favorite food.: Idly.. They are rice and white lentil buns that you cover in sambar.. Which is like a spicy lentil goo. So basically it’s lentils on lentils. I love it. It’s very commonly eaten at southern India for breakfast but I agree. It’s great for dinner.

Rashi is such a wonderful cook.!

We had a really wonderful time talking about life, kids, food, politics, AI… You name it. It was great !

at the end of the night Ruchir and Rashi were lettign me stay in their daughter Isha’s room (last time id stayed in their other daughter Anika’s room ). Isha is finishing up her PhD in computer science at MIT and Anika is a Senior there..  so their room were free !

today we also got this great picture of Gabe and Mya in Bamberg !..  So nice to seem them  having a great time together !

TOmorrow i’m going to an IBM Internal conference that Ruchir is organizing. I’m very excited about the topic and I’m also very excited about seeing so many old friends
