Spent the day building a new smaller tesla coil from a kit. It’s from OneTesla.. anddespite a few design issues.. it’s a sweet build.. Cant test it until tomorrow.. but have my fingers crossed

 

they did  a great job putting this together.. even the packaging was great.

 

I built a varnishing jig out of an old powerweels motor .it rotates it as the laquer dries to keep it even.

. so far it has 10 layers of urethane.

and here it is ready to test as soon as I get soem copper foil tomorrow to connect the secondary

it’s about 15″ talk and about 2 pound.. hopign to get 18″ sparks from it..fingers crossed !
