Had a very, very fun and ineresting day out here at the TED summit in Banff.. andmanaged to get in a retty full day of day job as well.. My part in the TED event was to run a seesion called “”BWA-HA-HA’.. unleashingyourinner madsceintist..
we had about 45 (more ?) participatns fro the ted communit. The task was simple.. move some fire across the room. They had 40 minutes and a pile of junk inclunding a chep RC card. It went really really well. som much fun chaos.. so many great ideas !.
these guys had a pretty serious fire.. i had to use the fire extinguisher.. which was wicked fun !
ooops another fire !
3 out of the 6 teams opted not to use the rc car.. which was fascinating.. Every team got their thing to work one way or antoher !
the satff here at TED was so helpfu.. they even cleaned up !>. an hour later, our mess looked like this
afterwrds I got to go to teh afternoon session.. SOme good talks on social issues.. Interupted with soem end of the quarter day job stuff…
walkign home I saw this big guy
then diane and I went for A 3.5 mile run.. then decided to hike 5.5 km of sulfer mountain
on the way we encountered this guy
sulfer moutnin was a fun and tough walk up.. we made it up in 2 hours.. thought the guide said 3.
at the top was the old weather station and the site of the old cosmic ray lab
the views were amazing up there !
now back at home.. I invented a way to link our rooms portable fan to the window over the door.. feels so good.. hole the cables lastthe night !ok.. falling asleep here.. more tomorrow !
